The comparisons between decker. and Bob Dylan are popping up all over the internet these days… For verification, see Guitar World’s commentary below:
"Patsy is bookended (save for a quick intro) by “O.D.B.” and “Ol Dirty Revival,” two themed tracks that lean gospel revival over psychedelic guitar folk. Musical outliers here, in a way similar to Dylan’s “Positively 4th Street,” they fit decker.’s vision of people betrayed by the outer, unknown dwellers of their social, artistic and professional circles.”

"O.D.B." is already laying down some rotation at radio and the full album Patsy will be available 2/17 on Mescal Porch.

T Bird and the Breaks play live on KUTX in less than an hour! Hear the band playing a few tracks from their new album, Harmonizm, at 1pm CST (2pm EST, and 11am PST)! The record is at radio now and out via Natch’l Boogie Music!
Larry Fitzmaurice, The Fader reviewer, notes:
“‘The Headless Boy’ is from their new one, Picture You, and it showcases the band’s even gentler side—these guys are the type to turn a nine-minute freakout into a down comforter—with spindly, isolated acoustic guitar and warm vocals that’ll hit hard for anyone currently thirsting for a new Fleet Foxes album. Guilty as charged.”
Reading up that The Amazing landed the 3rd slot of The Fader’s “7 Songs You Need in Your Life” feature segment, only adds fuel to our prediction that Picture You overall will be a massive success. The full-length releases 2/17 via Partisan Records and hits radio on 2/17!
The Vinyl District invites readers and music lovers to check out one of their favorite new tracks, “I Have Been Lost (Reprise)” by Tomás Pagán Motta with the song streaming on their website.
“I Have Been Lost (Reprise)” which echoes Big Pink-era Dylan in its subtle balladry and folk traditionalism. It is also a wonderful key for Motta to play in as it allows him to push his vocal to the top of its register, accentuating the power of the freedom-craving lyric.” - Mike Olinger
Motta’s self-titled began circulating through the radio airways early this week and will be available digitally and on vinyl 3/3 via Eight Gang Switch.
Today PopMatters premieres decker.’s new music video for “O.D.B”, a song that pays a tribute to Ol’ Dirty Bastard of the Wu-Tang Clan.
decker. explains, "The song itself is meant to be this kind of playful ‘F you’ to the backbiters of the world. So, we wanted the video to be this tongue in cheek, light and fun thing while also being this cinematic and warm kind of display of Northern Arizona. Being named in honor of ODB, it was a pleasing serendipity when we found the quote from him at the beginning, as it’s so applicable to the aim of both the song and the video.”
"O.D.B" will be on his upcoming record Patsy which hits shelves 2/17 via Mescal Porch.
