Artist Info:  After the success of their debut album, This Is Our Vice, last year, including their Hottest 100 Top-25 track “Come On Mess Me Up”, Brisbane pop quartet Cub Sport return with the first taste of their forthcoming second record – the lush, gospel-inspired “O Lord”.

Taking another artistic leap forward, singer/songwriter Tim Nelson has brought fans on a journey from the indie pop sound of their two successful EPs, to the electronic influence of their debut album and now ascending to new heights with a unique, soulful sound that refuses to comply with convention.

Nelson had this to say of the song's origin, "I wrote 'O Lord' in the wake of coming out last year. I suddenly had everything I'd ever wanted. I was free to be my true self, I was finally in a relationship with the love of my life and I had full love and support from my friends and family, but what I didn't expect was the realisation that when you get everything you've ever wanted you suddenly have everything to lose. This song ended up being my way of grappling with those feelings. The Gospel-influenced sound is probably a result of listening to a lot of Kanye's The Life of Pablo and Chance the Rapper's Coloring Book last year."
