ROAD TO MALI is a hypnotic West-African influenced acoustic instrumental single from guitarist/composer Mark Leggett. It features fingerstyle alternate-tuned guitars, mandolin and upright bass.
In 2023 Mark's album Folktown was in the top 10 in Folk Alliance International folk music charts, as well as receiving wonderful reviews in Acoustic Guitar Magazine and Fingerstyle Journal.
Mark career as a composer includes two Emmy nominations. He has composed extensively for Dolly Parton and her film series on Netflix and NBC. Levon Helm recorded Mark's theme music for the PBS documentary "Great Drives". Guitar legend Richard Thompson and Mark have collaborated on a number of film projects.
Other collaborations include composing for Werner Herzog, Kylie Minogue, the hit NBC show "My Name Is Earl" and hundreds of film and tv projects.
